ANDY TURNER: LIFE GOALS
The inside story of a Premier League record-breaker
About Andy
On the 5th of September 1992, at the age of just 17, Andy Turner scored for Tottenham Hotspur against Everton. In doing so, Andy became the youngest goalscorer in the Premier League - a record he would hold for nearly 5 years until Michael Owen took over the mantle. Today, Andy is passionate about giving back, helping youth players to develop their opportunities.
About the film
This film tells Andy’s story: the early years, devastating injuries, his reinvention as a coach and mentor and, of course, that goal. We want to convey a message of resilience and hope. It’s a human interest story, one that is not just about football but an important resource for anyone facing adversity in life, and not allowing oneself to be defined by it.
